We’re excited to announce our April seminar with Martin Wheeler! Get ready for a phenomenal 2.5 days as we study the self defense and combative tactics of Systema from a multi level perspective. Whether you’re looking to improvise your ground game or to sharpen your situational awareness, this seminar is for you.

Martin has decades of experience in both practical self defense, starting as a bouncer in the UK working his way to being a contract instructor for special forces such as the US Navy SEALS and SWAT teams. He has been featured on Discovery Channel, Blackbelt Magazine and many other media outlets as an authority on self defense and combatives.

If you’ve never experienced Systema first hand, this is also a great opportunity to find out why Martin ended up with the Russian Martial Art.

We will also be have 2 special segments with head instructor of Systema Tokyo - Takahide Kitagawa. Taka will be sharing 2 topics on how Systema ground fighting works and also how Systema training can benefit other martial artists! Look out for those special classes too!

Dropping the next seminar in our year 1.0. After the fantastic opening by Yoshiki, we are looking forward to our next instalment. Featuring @wheelersystema for a weekend of specialized training in perception and varying level changes including the ground. We will also be having special segments with @systema_tyo covering ground fighting and Systema for other martial arts!

This beautiful art of life we have been given the privilege to study is something we want to take to the next level, both for ourselves and our community. As such, Systema Singapore will be embarking on a new exciting journey!

From the early days it was a common saying that everyone has their own Systema - an art of freedom and power which everyone understands and expresses in their own unique form. To highlight the breadth and depth of this art, we are planning a line up of seminars - linking both the topics, community and personalities in a way we have come to understand this art as a community.

3 years of intense study - with a goal of coming out the other side different from how we began. We invite everyone to journey with us as we develop our own Systema X.0!

What a great start to the year with @systemaacademy hitting off the first seminar of our «YOU ARE (NOT) WEAK» series! @yoshiki_kuraoka really drove into us with a comprehensive and grounded explanation of the fundamentals of Systema that enables us to understand the “simple but not easy” aspect of the exercises and drills.

A big thank you to @systemavasiliev for the opportunity. A shout out also to our guest who traveled from Malaysia and Sri Lanka as well!

In Systema we do a lot of work to free ourselves f

In Systema we do a lot of work to free ourselves from mental and physical tension. Freedom is found outside the walls we set for ourselves. I guess you could say the training is an Attack on Tension.

Systema is a unique style that takes an undogmatic approach to teaching self defense. Structured around simple but timeless principles, Systema is a martial art which eschews fixed katas or patterns to memorize, instead using breathing exercises and drills to bring practitioners into a state of present awareness and to retain a calm and relaxed composure to engage in the movements. This is also why Systema has been referred to as a moving meditation - not merely a combative style for the ring, Systema is a deep practice that provides practitioners with a way to live through stressful situations through breath and body control.

Everything we do is un-choreographed and unscripted since we learn principles and not techniques. Training curriculum includes strikes, grappling, weapon and multiple opponents as well as healing and breath work.
